Trying out GTD in Outlook 2007
So I’ve read through a few different webpages regarding GTD and I decided to try to give it a shot with Oulook 2007 at work. So far it has gone pretty well, although I’ve modified it to fit my needs. For the most part I get everything via email, but for the tasks that are verbal or created on my own, I use two folders that I call Pre-Pipeline and Pipeline. The folders store tasks and start in Pre-Pipeline and move to Pipeline, then completed. I rely on Categories in Outlook 2007 to determine the Next Action, am I waiting for something, is it a ToDo or for Reference. The Completed folder will contain all of my completed tasks and can be used for future reference as needed. Here’s a screenshot.
