Management books
This morning I just finished listening to 12: The Elements of Great Managing and found it to be very fascinating. If you have read Breaking All the Rules, then you are familiar with the authors as this is in essence the sequal to that book. The breakdown is that Gallup did an incredibly in-depth study of job satisfaction. They polled the employees against 12 Elements that were assembled based on previous company polls. They include such topics as believeing the employee has a best friend at work and that the company is helping me grow. As I move through my career I plan on keeping these 12 elements in mind and using them to help me better understand the people around me.
